There are several changes in the camp menus. Because the number of attending girls and adults were not as originally planned, the leaders have decided to alter the camp menus slightly.
Friday lunch - girls bring bag lunch if attending the parade

Saturday breakfast - continental breakfast
Saturday lunch - Subway sandwiches

Although, we will be earning several badges over the weekend (an entire journey, plus 2 additional badges called Night Owl and Trailblazer); the girls will still have a badge to complete at home due November 30. It's called Netiquette!
She's a Scientist
Our troop is participating in the She's a Scientist series to meet requirements that are in our Breathe Journey. It is important that your Girl Scout attend at least 2 of the 3 remaining dates. There is still time to register for the December and January S-A-S programs!
- She's a Scientist will be on December 1, 2012* at the CM. The following girls are registered to attend: Jordan, Mikayla, Sierra, Taylor, Violet
- She's a Scientist will be on January 12, 2013* at the CM. The following girls are registered to attend: Jordan, Mikayla, Sierra, Taylor, Violet
- She's a Scientist will be on February 16,2013 at the CM.
December troop meeting
Will be on 12/9 @ 5pm back at the church. We will work on the New Cuisines badge and have a holiday party. Girls will need to bring an ornament to exchange during the party.
Volunteering with the Daisy/Brownie troops
In order to earn our LiA award, the girls will need to work with a Brownie troop and help them with parts of their journey.
- Wednesday, December 5. We will need at least 4 girls to help.
- Wednesday, February 13. We will need at least 4 girls to help.
- April dates are pending.

- Acquire 25 hours by volunteering leadership skills within a younger girl troop, at a SU event or at a council sponsored volunteer opportunity.
Sorry, I thought I added this in the blog with an update right after it was published.
ReplyDeletePlease meet me at my office at 10am with a bag lunch if their daughter wants to attend the parade with us. Please have her bring everything needed for the weekend. My office is located at 810 NW 8th Street. We will walk to the parade from there.
If not, meet me at my office at 2:30pm with all of her bags and items she needs to take camping.
We will leave from there to North Fork at 2:45 pm once we are all loaded.
Wendy and I will drive all of the girls between our two cars.
Don't forget to give me your daughters subway order if you haven't already! So far, Jordan and I are the only ones eating lunch on Saturday. :-)
Sunday arrival time should be around 2pm (if the girls work hard to do their kapers timely). Pick up will be at KMS. Parents will be called when we leave NF.
